It's been days since I picked up my camera. Blog has been in hibernation mode. My camera is without a lens, so I guess I had an excuse for not picking it up lately. Though, life looks a little different again knowing that I don't have my tool to capture the images. This is kind of great because now I can start experimenting with other tools again that I had put aside, like the pin-hole and film photography. Oh, how I miss photography.
I was in Portland over the weekend. There was so much movement - people hustling and bustling for Christmas gifts - then there was Stumptown Coffee. Oh, how I fell in love with this place. There was a pleasant peacefulness to movements in the room - from the barista brewing a fine cup of coffee, strangers chatting and gesturing while holding something warm in their hands, and the friendly door swinging in and out, saying hello and goodbye. Local artwork was hanging from the wall, a wall that looked worn out but full of history. Noticing a Bitch Magazine hanging out on the rack tells me that this place is that much more enticing. I borrowed the iPhone from my partner and captured a few moments from where I was sitting. Thanks, Apple. Thanks, Stumptown.
